The artist residency periods for each year become available for applications in the spring or early summer of the previous year.
The announcement for the call will be posted on the Finnish Institute’s website and social media platforms and on the Finnish Artists’ Studio Foundation’s website. It will also be sent out to mailing lists of various artistic associations.
The selection will be made by a representative of the Foundation of the Finnish Institute at Athens. When making selections, emphasis will be placed on how the proposed project relates to Athens and Greece. When allocating residency spots, we aim to take on residents from various fields. It is possible to receive the residency more than once, and, for justified reasons, the duration can be extended to 2–3 months.
Selections will be announced in September/October, and acceptance of the residency must be confirmed within 2 weeks of receiving the acceptance notification via email.
