Last Wednesday and Thursday, the Finnish Institute at Athens paid tribute to Maria Martzoukou, on the occasion of her retirement. On the evening of the 29th the Finnish Ambassador to Greece H.E. Jari Gustafsson and Mrs. Anna Gustafsson hosted a reception at the Ambassador’s residence in honour of Maria. On the evening of the 30th, almost all the Institute’s former Directors gathered to give talks, all on the subject of “Letters from the Past”. We thank Maria Martzoukou for her years at the Institute and wish her luck in her future endeavours.
